Mark Brown is a classically trained musician and educator based in Los Angeles. For over 20 years, he has worked as a touring and session keyboardist, composer, arranger and audio engineer. He is primarily a Hammond B3 player who specializes in jazz/blues and pop.
Performance highlights include Mike Gordon (Phish), Martin Sexton, Cris Jacobs, The New Mastersounds and members of Dark Star Orchestra. Recording credits include Lewis Capaldi (Pop), The Bridge (Roots Rock), Faithless Town (Indie Rock) and Amy Banks (Jazz).
Mark keeps a busy schedule teaching at Musicians Institute in Hollywood as well as in his own private studio. He performs around southern California with his own jazz/funk organ trio “Hambone Relay”. This ensemble often features fellow faculty members from Musicians Institute.
Mark holds a B.M. in Music Recording and Technology from Lebanon Valley College (PA).
