Education

Originally from upstate NY, Mark has studied classical and jazz piano since the age of 5.  He has a BM in Music Recording & Technology from Lebanon Valley College.  For over 20 years Mark has worked as a pianist, composer, arranger and audio engineer.

On The Road

After graduating college, Mark worked at the American Music Theater in Lancaster, PA as keyboardist, organist and arranger for their original stage productions.  In 2008, he joined the Baltimore-based Jam Band THE BRIDGE playing almost 200 shows a year and touring the world for 6 years.  He has shared the stage with and performed alongside such acts as The Derek Trucks Band, Mike Gordon, Ivan Neville, Steve Kimock, Martin Sexton and others.

In The Studio

Brown has recorded hammond organ, piano, vintage keys and guitar for over 200 recording projects.  Most notably, he recently recorded organ for pop artist Lewis Capaldi.  Other credits include:  Amy Banks (Jazz), Wess Cooke (Country), Faithless Town (Indie Rock), The Bridge (Jamband/Americana), The Groove Merchants (Blues Rock), Dan Wande (Hard Rock/Metal).

In 2019, Mark created, produced and co-hosted the Podcast "Dude Check This Out" with fellow bandmate Rob Tait.  The podcast featured interviews and news with local and regional musicians and had over 40 episodes.   He is currently working on re-launching "Dude Check This Out" as well as a few new podcasts set to release in 2023.  

As an audio engineer, Brown has tracked and mixed 8 full length albums as well as recorded keyboards for over 300 projects.  He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
